(More customer reviews)Back in the mid-90's we bought an earlier version of these sleek, modern looking commodes for three bathrooms in a remodel we'd undertaken. They always received high props for looks, but we found that for "number two" at least 2 flushes were required to clear the bowl. This was extremely annoying because we had to wait for the tank to fill completely in order for that second flush to be effective. And sometimes 3 flushes were needed. I take this was the result of mandated, low water volume conservation requirements for toilets enacted about this time. (As usual, the unintended consequence of this sort of do-gooderism is the wasting of even more water.) Last year, we started another remodel. Literature from Kohler and the say-so of our plumbing supplier indicated the weak flushing issue of prior models had been addressed by the manufacturer in the intervening years. Regrettably -after installing 3 more of these- we find that this just isn't the case. Sit-down visits to the bathroom are extended as we wait around to perform the second and third flushes. I'd recommend this toilet only to someone who needed an aesthetically pleasing fixture AND had a lot of spare time.
