(More customer reviews)I, like another reviewer, had severe packaging issues with this miter saw stand. The cardboard box looked like it had been dragged behind the delivery truck instead of inside it. The bag holding the bolts was ripped open, and bolts and washers were scattered around on the inside of the box. One bolt was missing, but fortunately I had a compatible bolt already lying around the garage.
(And here is where I have a real bone to pick with Makita. The directions said to immediately call if there were any parts missing, but of course they didn't bother to print a phone number! When I went to Makita's web site, the only numbers I could find were for local Makita dealers/repair shops. So I am supposed to call a local shop, from whom I didn't purchase the stand, and ask them to help me? That just feels wrong...)
The directions were literally ripped to shreds, making them very hard to read. Not that they helped that much anyway; what part I could read was written in "minglish" and the pictures and diagrams were inadequate, in my opinion. Fortunately, assembly was not difficult and only took about 30 minutes from start to finish. I did have to make adjustments to one of the wheels before it would assemble properly; the bolt hole didn't match up. The wheels are indeed quite large, making it easy to maneuver the stand over rough terrain, but it is also very heavy. I'm a little disappointed that a table this large and heavy (160 LBs) is only rated to hold 250 LBs. I do like the table, but overall I would have to say I am disappointed with this purchase, considering the price I paid.
