Otherwise, it would be a great spreader.
Knowing and owning other Agri-Fab products, I'm very surprised that they come out with shuch a lousy mechanism for the opening gate.
If it wasn't for that (it makes it a very expensive conversation piece, good only as a yard ornament) I would give it a five star rating

The Agri-Fab 175-pound tow broadcast spreader cuts down on the number of passes necessary to fully cover your lawn. This spreader provides a spread width of 10-to-12-feet. A 175-pound capacity covers approximately 40,000-square-feet. The random distribution pattern reduces over-fertilizing and under-fertilizing. The spreader is towed on two 15-by-6-inch pneumatic turf tread tires with 3/4-inch diameter axles and ball bearings. The tow model features a heat-treated steel gear drive type. The spreader easily attaches to lawn and garden tractors or ATVs with a pin type rear hitch.
