Vermont Castings 1999 Intrepid II Catalytic Cast Iron Stove - Enamel Black Review
Average Reviews:
(More customer reviews)We purchased this stove to provide our three season Virginia sun porch some heat for the winter months. The sun porch is two years old now. It is not a big sun porch (about 240 sq feet) so we did not want a large stove. This stove is perfect! It uses logs which need to be about 16" or less and sometimes standard cords have larger logs. But they burn evenly and the stove puts out a nice constant heat. For a quick warm up a paraffin log does perfect and really lasts three hours.
We would quickly buy it again. In fact the reason I am writing this two years after having bought it is a testament to how pleased with it we are. If you are trying to heat several rooms you will need a larger stove but if you want the comfort and warmth on a cold winter day in your den - this is the right stove.

The natural, even warmth of cast iron is enhanced with thermostatically regulated combustion air and the Vermont Castings® signature conveniences of wood loading and ash handling make these stoves a great choice. Our Catalytic Wood Stoves ensure that more smoke and combustible gasses are converted to useable heat under conditions where other stoves simply cannot.
