(More customer reviews)This was a perfect replacement for the exhaust fan motor in my Nutone 665RP. Not only does this motor run quietly and effortlessly, and looks to be assembled well with a few updated components, but the install was very easy to anybody that is even mildly comfortable with using common hand tools. This motor comes with the 2 prong outlet and ground wire attached, exactly like the motor it is replacing which made it a perfect drop in install. No modifications to the motor are needed. The exhaust fan assembly easily drops right out of the exhaust housing(the metal box that is installed in your ceiling) after unplugging the cord from the outlet in the housing and unscrewing 2 screws. Once the exhaust assembly is out of the housing, it is pretty easy to determine what should be done from there to swap out the motor. One important thing I have learned works very well when diagnosing or fixing things with lots of pieces and parts is to take pictures of an item from many angles before and during disassembling something so you do not have to rely on memory alone to know how everything goes back together. Anyway, I am getting off topic here... If your exhaust fan in your Nutone 665RP(actually many other model numbers that use this motor as well) decides to stop working on you, do not feel like you have to drop another 80 bucks on a whole new unit. This project can be handled by most people who have ever used used a screwdriver a few times in their life and know what righty tighty, lefty loosey means.
