This is a very compact inverter plasma cutter capable of outperforming it's competition. ie: HTP, Miller, Hobart, Thermal Dynamics, Blue Point, Lincoln & Hypertherm. Using this light weight plasma cutter is cheaper than Oxyacetytlene after just a few cuts. (More customer reviews)Because there was no feedback on this item I was very apprehensive about buying this item, however, I went ahead and bought it anyways. I got it today, opened it up, (it was well packed), put it together, (small amount assembly required), wired it up to 220, tested the plasma cutter and the arc welder and so far it has worked great. It is easy to operate and easy to move around.(though it is light weight it feels very solidly built)
So far I am VERY pleased with it.

Ramsond introduces the 4th generation of its CT520DY. CT520DY is a 3-in-1 multifunction cutting and welding machine. It is a 50 Amp plasma cutter, a 200 Amp DC (Direct Current) TIG welder and a 200 Amp ARC/MMA stick welder. It is dual voltage 110V/220V and dual frequency 50/60 Hz. It is equipped with DIGITAL AMP DISPLAY, INTEGRATED PRESSURE GAUGE, FOOT PEDAL FUNCTION and FOLDABLE INSULATED HANDLE. It uses the most reliable high frequency V-MOSFETs by TOSHIBA along with PWM (Pulse Width Modulation Processor) which help deliver a constant, concentrated and precise current to the cutting/welding surface. Regardless of your training, you can achieve smooth, clean and uniform cuts (1 inch) and weld a wide range of surfaces and material (e.g. stainless steel, carbon steel, alloy steel, copper, brass and other conductive material) with minimal heat input and without distortion of metal. CT520DY is easy to use by the do-it-yourself user, while fully accommodating of the demands of professional operators. It has five controls; the ON/OFF switch, Amperage Control Knob, the Post Flow Knob, Function Selector and the foot pedal ON/OFF switch. It has an integrated air pressure gauge in the front panel of the unit, as well as a large digital display that conveniently displays the current (Amps) setting of the unit. Note: This is a DC (Direct Current) TIG Machine. For aluminum welding AC (Alternating Current) is recommended. This machine was packaged well enough to be air dropped if necessary. The outside box was lined with Styrofoam. The inside box was lined with about 1" thick foam that was made to fit the cutter.
It came with everything except an electrical plug which makes sense because it will work on 110 or 220 so there is no way for them to know what type plug to send. I wired mine for 220.
The first thing I cut was some 1/8 " steel. It zipped right through that. I then tried some ¼" with no problem. The next thing I cut was ½" steel. I got through it but I had to take it easy. I didn't have anything thicker but with my lack of skill I'm not sure I would tackle anything thicker than the ½".
I also tried some very thin steel and it did a great job with a low amp setting. 1/8" and ¼" aluminum cut with no problem.
I don't have a steady hand so most of my cuts looked pretty rough but the machine cuts so fast with no resistance it was hard to get a straight cut. Anyone who has used a cutting torch will know what I mean.
I still don't know how they can produce this much cutting power in a 25 pound machine but they did. I am impressed with the machines quality and performance
