(More customer reviews)I do a lot of bathroom and kitchen remodels, and many times, that calls for tile work. Several years ago, I needed something better than a saw to cut 1/2" Hardibacker board, because of all the cement dust they kick up. I bought one of these directly from Pacific Tool when the local lumber/hardware supplier only carried the S404 Snapper Shear. Loved it from the first time I used it, and it went through a lot of remodels before the motor burned out a couple of months ago. I called Pacific Tool directly, and they confirmed my suspicions about the motor,and they were able to 2nd day a new one to me.This tool cuts backer board like a hot knife through butter, going through five feet of 1/2" Hardiboard in less than a 30 seconds.It does accurate inside corners, and with a little practice and finesse, you can do trim cuts quickly, and neatly,such as when the cut board is just a bit on the tight side.
