Porter-Cable CFBN125B 1-1/4-Inch Brad Nailer and Compressor Combo Kit Review
Average Reviews:
(More customer reviews)It would seem that I got a defective compressor. When I first took it out and followed all the start up instructions for proper break in and it came time to fill the tank, the safety release valve popped just before the tank reached 150 psi and before the compressor shut off. I tried to clear any blockage by manually opening and closing the safety valve per the troubleshooting instructions to no avail. After the first trip to the Porter-Cable Service Center, it still didn't work. I took it back again and they "rebuilt it" but no new parts are listed on the invoice (this took about 2 weeks). Now the safety valve works but when I open the regulator over 120 psi the threads around the coupler start leaking very audibly.
Since I had tried to let them fix it without success I wrote the Porter-Cable customer service center for help and they had no useful solutions. They suggested I talk to my retailer about a return.
I am disappointed in Porter-Cable, I guess I will have to fix it myself or suffer the shipping expenses to return it.
