(More customer reviews)Our old fridge died and gave us the impetus for a kitchen remodel. So in a pinch and without a fridge I bought the KFUS27CXMS sight unseen. I was hesitant given the reviews about noise and doors closing, but suffice to say I haven't had issue with either.
It's not whisper quiet, but my bedroom is right behind the wall where it is installed (1960s house, no internal insulation) and I can't hear the fridge at all from there. In the kitchen when the compressor comes on you can hear it, but it's no where near as bad as I had expected from reading the reviews. It's quieter than my old Kenmore it replaced so for me the noise is a non-issue.
The door works fine on mine as well. They are easy to close and require no additional effort. I can give them a little push and let them swing closed on their own momentum, no need for a second push to make sure they are secure.
I will report back on the ice maker after I few more months of service and update my review if I find issue there.
