(More customer reviews)I have a fairly large lot (1/2 acre) and cleaning up leaves in the fall used to take me all afternoon. This sweeper does a very good job. I finished my leaf sweeping in just over an hour. It took some experimenting with how fast to go at first, but after playing with it for a little while it worked great. I'm highly satisfied with it. It does take up a lot of space in my shed, but if you pull a couple of pins the bag detaches from the main housing and you can store it more compactly.

(More customer reviews)I ordered this for my Husqvarna 48" Lawn Tractor, but this product is actually made by Poulan. Everything fit on the my tractor except the mounting bracket. I had to drill some holes in the bracket as well as heat and bend the fasteners that are made for the Poulan tractor to make it fit. However, once I got this on, the bagger itself works great.

Brinly-Hardy Lawn Sweeper - 42in., Model# STS-42LXH Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this less then 10 days ago. I have a very large yard with lots of trees = messy yard in fall time. For the past 15yrs I have raked the acres of yard we have --- Thank GOD for this Brinly 42in lawn sweeper! This sweeper picked up hickory, chestnut and pecan nuts as well as medium sized twigs - like the size used for kindling. I truely appreciate the fact that the brushes go only half way across the bar making them easily replaced instead of the entire rotating bar/brush.
First off the positive: it is made in USA---GREAT point, secondly the construction is sturdy, materials used above average, brushes replaceable, wheels turn freely when backing so you don't loose the load you just picked up, can be emptied without getting off lawn tractor, does store flat, very convient to use, maybe because new but did pick up alot of stuff.
Now to the negative: plan plenty of assembly time - two very handy men took 70mins so if not handy plan for more then 2+hours; next instructions poorly written,
One last thought from an opinionated person. I would recommend adding wheels/casters to bottom of bag to help slow down the eventual wear. But until then YES I would buy this again, and again if I had to ---just so I don't have to rake any more. BTW we have owned other lawn sweepers and they don't compare to the quality or job this one did for me.

(More customer reviews)I gave this lawnsweeper 1 star because I could not give it less! The bottom line is it is poorly designed and even worse poorly made and assembly was a nightmare.
This sweeper failed, the wheels locked up after only 3 uses! There is a sweeper I reccomend at the end of this review.
Lets start with the main frame: the two (2) main arms that attached the bag are made of a cheap grade steel and very thin. They will bend when the bag is less then 3/4 full and will also spread apart and break away from the main frame. The tow tongue comes with 3 small rings that you have to play with in order to adjust tow height and its not easy.
The bag itself will tear with little stress. The seam where the pivot bar goes through will tear while you are trying to put the bag unit together. Each of the other seams are as poorly made.
The wheel have a smooth tire edge which does not grip properly to turn the sweepers. In addition you cannot adjust the sweepers to NOT sweep when trying to store it, etc.
The handle to pull and dump the bag bounces around while you are sweeping, and after you unload, you need to leave the mower to attach it to the lock clip which slides when you unload the bag and it does a horrible job of keeping the dump handle from bouncing around!
After returning the Agri-Fab I researched and purchased a lawnsweeper from Ohio Steel, Amazon item # B000IJWZWE. It is extremely well made, easy to assemble and easy to use.

(More customer reviews)After reading the first two reviews I wasn't sure who was right. I bought the sweeper at Lowes for $200 and it's just fine. There is no aluminum tubing,it's carbon steel painted and/or galvanized. I can't envision getting any rope burns as it is easy to unload. The material for the catcher could have been made from a different material to make it a better unit. All in all I feel that it is a good sweeper for the price and will last for a several years of normal use. The unit comes with nylok nuts which was a plus.

McLane 801 4.75 GT/3.5RP 9-Inch Gas Powered Lawn Edger With Ball Bearing Wheels Review

Engine is easy to start and runs well.
Unit cuts properly and is easy to use BUT ......
the belt pulley on the cutter head keeps coming off of the shaft.
It appears to be a friction fit.
There is no set screw or mechanical device to keep the pulley on the shaft.
I have reinstalled it 3 times but it keeps coming off.
I will have to call the factory and find out how to get it fixed.
Other than this defect it is a good unit.
UPDATE:
I contacted the factory and they promptly sent a new cutter head assembly.
Very simply installed in 5 minutes with minimal tools.
Now it works great!
I now rate it 5 stars.
