(More customer reviews)I had two American Standard Champion toilets installed in my home due to their claim of low water use. They lived up to their claims for about a year. However, the gasket at the bottom of the flush tower on both toilets no longer seats correctly, causing the toilets to constantly refill, using significantly more water than a classic flapper valve toilet.
The problem resurfaces after replacing the gasket, so I'm going to have to replace these flushing mechanisms (and possibly the toilets themselves since everything in the tank doesn't match up with regular toilet parts).
By the way, these defective toilets were professionally installed.

(More customer reviews)I have an original champion toilet which had issues with the flush valve. The champion 4 toilet has a redesigned flush valve that is better built and appears to be a more reliable design. In terms of flush power vs. the old design, it appears to me--to be about the same, possibly slightly less...I wouldn't say it is much less, like the other reviewer mentioned...I would like to see american standard's view of this. Overall I would highly recommend the champion 4 toilet with the new flush valve. There is no better toilet with a better warranty on the market with this kind of gravity flush power at 1.6gallons per flush. Also, the new flush valve is quieter than the old one. The old design had the right idea, but had very poor execution. The new design seems to have great execution. If you have an old champion with the old flush valve, call american standard and they will send to you free the champion 4 flush valve and is a simple install/replace.

KOHLER K-3324-0 Kathryn Comfort Height Elongated One-Piece Toilet, White Review

(More customer reviews)For a toilet that is more than $800 this thing should be a powerhouse. I order 4 of them from my plumbing supply (Kohler doesn't sell direct) and they were installed in my new house. I noticed that the flushing was extremely weak and had several plumbers look at them to see if they were installed incorrectly. I also called Kohler support for help.
After a lot of review it seems they are working as designed- they just have an extremely weak flush.
I called Kohler to try to get an authorized refund and they authorized me to get 4 replacement toilets (the same exact ones). I told them that was crazy and they should at least let me have other Kohler toilets and they said no.
I am now in the process of writing Kohler upper management. From my perspective Kohler is awful and I will never buy their products again.
Look at Toto toilets and other products. Kohler is overpriced and designed horribly. Looking nice means nothing if you can't flush things down.
