American Standard Champion Elongated One-Piece Toilet - Bone Review

(More customer reviews)I had two American Standard Champion toilets installed in my home due to their claim of low water use. They lived up to their claims for about a year. However, the gasket at the bottom of the flush tower on both toilets no longer seats correctly, causing the toilets to constantly refill, using significantly more water than a classic flapper valve toilet.
The problem resurfaces after replacing the gasket, so I'm going to have to replace these flushing mechanisms (and possibly the toilets themselves since everything in the tank doesn't match up with regular toilet parts).
By the way, these defective toilets were professionally installed.

KOHLER K-3324-0 Kathryn Comfort Height Elongated One-Piece Toilet, White Review

(More customer reviews)For a toilet that is more than $800 this thing should be a powerhouse. I order 4 of them from my plumbing supply (Kohler doesn't sell direct) and they were installed in my new house. I noticed that the flushing was extremely weak and had several plumbers look at them to see if they were installed incorrectly. I also called Kohler support for help.
After a lot of review it seems they are working as designed- they just have an extremely weak flush.
I called Kohler to try to get an authorized refund and they authorized me to get 4 replacement toilets (the same exact ones). I told them that was crazy and they should at least let me have other Kohler toilets and they said no.
I am now in the process of writing Kohler upper management. From my perspective Kohler is awful and I will never buy their products again.
Look at Toto toilets and other products. Kohler is overpriced and designed horribly. Looking nice means nothing if you can't flush things down.

Saniflo Saniplus Macerator Pump (Pump Only) Review

(More customer reviews)The unit works as promised. But it's certainly not w/o issues. The toilet is clearly not as good as a modern bottom outliet toilet, and do you really want macerated feces sitting in the unit? I've asked people to use it for #1 only. I'm sure it works for #2, but I'm sure not all of it gets out right away. If you're like me and use it only occasionally, I'm sure it gets ugly inside.
The pump is perhaps too strong too. I have a 6' rise and only 2' horizontal. when you're in the shower it turns on for only a second or 2. I could throttle it down by partially shutting the outliet pipe, but then stuff from the toilet might not make it through.
still, it does what it needs to do.

(More customer reviews)This shower head can produce some nice spray, and a relaxing shower. But it takes a good deal of water, and water pressure to get the best out of it. I usually use the needle spray setting, which is, to be honest, about that same as any standard shower. And I can use that with a modest twist of the valves. There are champagne settings (both coarse and fine), which are similar to standing under sparys from an aerated kitchen sink faucet (infused with air bubbles). It feels great, but to get the full effect, it's necessary to open the taps full sway. Then the bubbly water cascades over you, which feels great.
But because of the size of the areated shower spray openings, it's going to eat up a lot more water than a standard shower. And if you don't have good pressure in your house, you won't get a good, solid spray of bubbles.
If water conservation is a concern for you, this might not be the best choice.

(More customer reviews)At (1.28gal) this toilet is the most efficient available. Water use is low, Quality, performance is super high. Quickly disposes all waste without issue. Toto has designed a more efficient flush system as well as a bowl design. No more whirl-pool swhirl, just a ker plunk and thats it. It also, does wonders in keeping the bowl clean. I am super satisfied with my Toto toilet !!!!!!!!

(I was pleasantly surprised to find that people actually give reviews for toilets.) I purchased it and have been using it for several (clog free) months and I love it. Plus, I've seen a reduction in my water bill!
I gave it four stars only because it doesn't do a very good job of removing the skid marks...but I did just order a second one today to replace another toilet...skid marks don't bother me ;-)

KOHLER K-3323-47 Santa Rosa Compact Elongated Toilet, Almond Review

(More customer reviews)I have used this toilet for a week now and it works great.
Its almost makes no noise when flushed & when the tank fills up.
Make sure to set tank fill setting to maximum on the float or it may be to weak when flushed.
Even when using the max tank fill it uses very little water (1.6 gallons) for those on a long term budget or who need to conserve in dry areas.
The only problem is if you are a self install DYI type.
The base of the toilet only give about 16th of an inch space between the toilet and the bolt gasket.
This makes alignment very hard and your floor needs to be very flat & level or it will rock on the gasket.
Average wax ring is about an inch thick so expect a lot of wax to "seal" every place as it is squished down to a 16th of its size.
The rough in is really 12 inches which may make it a tight fit on some installs.
Also the bottom back allows very little clearance for the water supply if it is not offset from the toilet.
Also the lip on the outside edge of the toilet makes it harder to attach the water supply and toilet seat cover.

(More customer reviews)This might look like your ordinary commode, but don't be fooled. This pot ain't for the weekend crapper or hobbyist. But if you're as serious about your bowel movement as I am, then this is the penultimate pooper. I was very unhappy with my TOTO NEXUS GT350 so, understandably, I was a little gun-shy about dropping the coin on TOTO again, but they didn't disappoint a second time. This rig can take anything you can throw at it. I used to be embarrassed when guests used my restroom after I left something that was unflushable. Maybe I have too much fiber and protein in my diet. Maybe I'm a freak of nature. Either way, those shameful days are behind me. The TOTO Ultimate handles any workload without breaking a sweat. No log too long; no poo too plump. And the comfort? Woooo-EEEEEE. I sometimes find myself sitting on this baby for hours on end. Even as I write this review, I'm sitting atop my TOTO. So comfortable is the seat that I often look forward to the next time I need to "make a big stink." Sometimes, it is the highlight of my day. During these brief, intimate minutes my TOTO and I become One. The price may be a little higher than your standard bowl, but let's face it. Aren't you at your most vulnerable when sitting on the throne? Why would you want anything less than the best?
