(More customer reviews)The unit arrived in so-so packaging. As with everyone else, I had a nut missing. This is in my opinion due to the fact that mine were thrown into the box loose, they should be bagged. I fished second nut out of the corner of box.
So, after getting one from my hardware box, I assembled the unit. Reading thru instruction I learned that I need SAE 30 oil. So next thing I did is I went and I bought 2 quarts of such oil. I filled the engine (uses about 1/3 of bottle or even less).
Filled in the gas. Hooked up the hose. Turned on the water (supplied connector started leaking, more on this later). Unit started on third try.
I test drove it and was pretty impressed with results.
Things you want to get before washer arrives:
1 Quart of SAE 30 (this is not modern engine oil!)
1 Quick Connect Male-Female Brass (I use plastic everwhere so I bought plastic but if you start from scratch, get brass)
1 Female-Female connector from Lowes or Homedepot. Anderson Barrows
PBGH2 3/4" FE Hose/FE Hose Swivel (Lowes had it) worked perfectly for me. This is because power washer has male connector (not female like all sprinklers, heads, etc that connect directly to hose) and all quick connects come with male as well. You can't connect male with male :)
Activities before you run your unit:
Fuel: Put fuel in.
Oil: Pour until indicator is at proper level.
Gender converter: Screw on the swivel connector onto power washer. This will make a female connector available on the the power washer. The one I listed above requires to use quite some force, but once it is on, it is on!
Quick Connector: Screw in the male part onto power washer, female onto hose, you are ready to go!Notes:
Chemical application requires you to put "low pressure" tip. The detergent won't be sucked in with any other tip.
Level the unit perfectly. It will cut the fuel once it is even so slightly tipped. If your unit shuts down after 15-30s, it is not leveled!
Use a little bleach with your detergent when cleaning white siding, you'll be amazed how much quicker it goes.Enjoy!

(More customer reviews)These stoves are known to have limited insulation and heat shielding causing the outside of the range to get hot to the touch and I can attest to this. Also these models make tons of noise (expansion and contraction) when heating up and cooling down. The single worst thing though is the computer control jobby! It must have been designed by lab monkeys or something. I have had 3 service calls and have a 4th scheduled right now all for the same issue in less than two months. Apparently moisture and/or condensation gets inside the control module and causes it to throw an error code. This turns out to be nice business for the local Factory Repair company since they get to bill Whirlppol every time they come out here; but it is an unbelieveable nightmare for me. After the warmup countdown the stove almost always throws an F2 (stuck key) error code. Meaning that I then have to unplug and power down the unit for at least 2 minutes. Anything less and it locks you out of the control panel entirely. While it is powered down this unit is useless as the electronic ignition wont work. Keeping the clock set is pointless as well seeing as how you are going to have to shut it down nearly every time you use the oven. The last time the repair guy was here he mentioned the moisture issue. This seems to be a situation that Whirlpool knows about and has done nothing to fix.
Update! Finally got a repairman who had dealt with this issue before and knew how to fix. Apparently the way the exhuast goes therre is an inherent risk of overheating the control panel. He manually bent the exhaust pipe or whatever it is called. Now when you run the oven the stovetop gets hot enough to melt anything plastic left on the range.....However, it know works like it should have from the factory. It appears that the design has a correctable flaw and that Whirlpool would rather spend money and waste the time of customers by making you deal with repeat repair calls for an issue they can and should fix before sale or at the very least on the first visit.
This stove is also a beauty to look at. Keeping it clean is difficult with the super gloss finish. After a scrub down with your cleanser and sponge of choice use a solution made from any common degreaser spray and dawn....A little goes a long way and then polish the range with a dishcloth. This is the only way I have found to keep it gleaming.

This thing started throwing the SAME F2 code again! This things is a lemon! I have owned it less than 4 months and It still does the same thing after 5 0r 6 repair visits!!! I am filing BBB, Attorney General and Federal Trade Commission complaints! The Whirlpool company has now paid out more in repair costs than I paid for the range and I still don't have a properly functioning stove!
STAY away from Whirlpool Appliances! Look at other consumer sites and you will see that they are apparently slapping the Whirlpool nameplate on a lot of poorly designed and manufactured garbage!

Factory Reconditioned Karcher G 3050 OH 3,000 psi 2.5 gpm Gas-Powered Pressure Washer Review

(More customer reviews)After coming to Amazon and reading the reviews (good & bad), we took a chance and bought 3 of these washers. I should say we own another 3000 psi washer from another manufacturer, the minute we tested these we knew they were not putting out the advertised 3000 psi, long story short....we did what none of the other reviewers here have done, we installed a pressure gauge on each of them and guess what, the pressure output is 1800, 2100 and 2400 psi respectively. So to all the "Happy" and "Pleased" reviewers, try this test and you may find out that you did not received what you paid for. While these numbers may be enough for most homeowners, this test tells me 2 things, 1) these machines are not really refurbished but rather just repaired, cleaned and repacked, a refurbished machine is supposed to be brought up to factory specs., not only cosmetically but also mechanically and 2) the pump on them have a very short life left, by nature any pressure washer output will decline with time, I personally think these are almost at the end of their lifespan. Did we just got lucky?, maybe, I don't know, but if this would have been just one machine I would say yes, we were the lucky winner, but we are talking 3 different machines. In all fairness, I must say they started quickly and with no effort, were not damaged, as a matter of fact, they look new and all included items were inside the box. I have taken 2 of them to the local service center, hopefully they will bring the pressure to the 3000 psi level, however, I'm not holding my breath...personally I don't think the engine has enough power to go past the 2500-2700 psi output. If they don't fix them, we'll see what other recourse we have. Will update accordingly, in the mean time, be warned....you may not be getting what you expect and are paying for.

(More customer reviews)I just replaced my Karcher 2400HH Pressure washer with the G 3050. I must warn that this thing is POWERFULL, it will take the paint right off the side of the house if you are not carefull. Don't ask I how know. I know that this is only 600 PSI greater than my last one, but it is almost too much power. However, it was able to get the overspray from my paint job off of the concrete with no problem.
Only problem I forsee, is the unloader valve. This one stuck a couple of times the first time I used it. This was the same problem I had with my 2400. One thing to check before purchasing this unit, is to make sure you have the proper water flow of 2.5 GPM from your faucet. If not, you will not get the proper pressure from the pump and burn it out real quick. If kept well maintained and never let it idle more than 30 seconds at a time, this thing should last a lifetime for the average home owner.

I am a big fan of buying reconditioned items simply because they are checked and double checked for any problems and you usually get the best bang for your buck. I got mine for $279 which was two hundred less than a brand new one. I received this two days after I ordered it and it was packaged almost as if it was brand new. Putting it together was fairly easy and I was off to do some much needed power washing. This unit did not disappoint in the least. It started on the first pull and I felt the power immediately. The Honda engine is great and the pnematic wheels make it easy to move around. For me, there is no need for a turbo nozzle because the settings it comes with are extremely powerful and good for almost any task. For $279, I would buy this immediately if you need a good strong pressure washer.

The unit runs quiet compared to other constant speed generators. I plugged my RV into the 30 amp outlet for rv applications and was able to use the AC and other electrical appliances with no problems at all.

I was worried the voltage would be all over the place. I placed a 2400 watt load using a Mega Beast on this and it varied by 1 volt! Nominal 120 volts. I was very happy. This will work in an emergency to keep the heat on and the beer cold as long the total watts is not exceeded. Recommended!

(More customer reviews)I just picked up a 455 Rancher about a month ago (today is 4 May, 2006). This is a great saw. I had been using for more than 20 years, and still use to some degree a Stihl 028; another excellent saw.
There are some pros and cons to this saw as with all things.
Here's what I like. It's easy to operate and maintain. Accessibility of the under-cowel components such as the air filter, spark plug, and clutch housing is a no-brainer. It starts easy. In fact, you really don't need the pressure valve. It "pops" after a few short and fast pulls. Remember, once the saw "pops" with the choke, un-choke it and pull it again. You do not need to warm a two stroke with the choke on like you would a 4 stroke engine. Attempting to warm with the choke is the biggest cause of two stroke engine flooding.
Here's what I do not like. The low/hi mixture settings are limited by EPA regulations; a complete and total joke. If you remove the controls to optimize your settings, the warranty is void. But, I think it's better to do that than cook engine from lean settings. There aren't enough chainsaws running in any given period of the day to justify this regulation. So if you are a casual user, really pay attention to the break in procedures. Since the saws run lean, you need to make sure to break them in with extra care. If you use them much more frequently, remove the EPA limiters and richen out the hi/low mix, otherwise you will cook your engine.
Overall this is a great saw. The chisel chains do well for heavier applications. Be careful of kickback with these style chains. You can get low-kick back chains from any dealer. It's all a matter of personal preference.
I have outfitted my saw with an Oregon 20" Bar, chain, and rim sprocket. Once again this is a personal preference issue. The power head of the 455 is plenty and the applications many. If you are a causal user of this saw, talk with the folks at the saw shops for tips and ideas. They are a repository of knowledge and can help you make informed decisions about your saw.
