(More customer reviews)Bought this for emergency use. It weighs about the same (240lbs) as the comparable 6000 watt Honda inverter but costs much less and provides the same quiet usable power. After mounting the small wheels, adding oil and gas (uses regular) and charging the battery (electric start only) it started right up. Unlike cheaper generators, it produces a pure sinewave at exactly 60Hz and powers even sensitive devices such as computers, audio-video electronics and even our forced-air furnace, which is very picky about clean power. The $700 Colman Powermate we had before would not power the forced-air furnace. The Powermate had a large muffler and was relatively quiet but the Kipor is much quieter, using an even bigger muffler and padded enclosure. In addition, the Powermate needed to run at 3600 RPM all the time to produce the needed 60Hz output. The Kipor, like the Honda, runs only as fast as needed to provide the electrical power demanded. One problem with the unit we received was that the neutral and hot outputs on the 120V sockets were reversed (240V socket was OK). Even with this reversal everything ran but the forced-air furnace (this is how we discovered the problem). It took about 20 minutes to take off the side cover, unscrew the wires to the sockets and screw them back correctly. Now it powers everything without a hiccup.

It has dual voltage - 120V and 240V output on the 50AMP RV (on large motorhomes and 5th wheel) receptacle. This generator looks like the smaller KGE3500Ti but is bigger all around. You can start the engine like starting a car with the electric start. It is brand new in box and in stock ready to ship by freight service. This generator has the 50 AMP (fit most large motorhomes with adapter) and 30 AMP (120V) twist lock receptacle as well as two standard 20 Amp (120V) receptacles. It also has a 12V DC output (charging cord included). 2 years warranty, we have a repair center and stock most of the parts.

(More customer reviews)I purchased this mower from a different retailer. It failed after 3 months of residential use on our lawn. The retailer wouldn't/couldn't honor the warranty because the unit contains gasoline. Briggs & Statton wouldn't do anything for me after taking it to an authorized warranty repair shop ($45 min. charge). They said the blade must have struck something and bent the crankshaft. My daughters mow the lawn and haven't fessed up to hitting something, the blade was slightly bent with a few pencil lead size dings. Poulan customer service provided no help via their on-line customer service process. All in all a disappointing purchase. My previous lawn mower lasted 13 years and survived several bent and replaced blades. The engine on this unit does not seem to be suitable for the intended use.

(More customer reviews)Good: Can run 12+ hours on a 3 gallon tank of gas. Very clean voltage without the radio frequency hash which you find on a Honda inverter generator. This generator can run my natural gas furnace, some lights, small TV and my main refrigerator without missing a beat. I briefly unplug the refrig. when I want to run my Mr. Coffee. This generator is liftable by one guy. Fits inside a standard car trunk with room to spare. Excellent build quality unlike the junk generators you see at the hardware stores. The Yamaha is much cheaper than the Honda equivalent.
So so: About as loud as your typical lawn mower.
Limitations: Oil fill is a little hard to get to. Not enough power to run my clothes washer or NG clothes dryer but that's no surprise. 12 volt output has a higher voltage than specified so I'll use my 12 volt auto battery charger if I need to charge batterys.
Comment: There is a GFI model and a non GFI model of this generator. I went with the non GFI model to have a more trouble free power source. Your mileage may vary. As I type this review my town is experiencing a typical winter ice storm with lines expected to go down. My Yamaha is fueled up and ready to go with four 5 gallon filled gas cans in reserve.
I test my generator every one to three months or so. It starts on the third pull every time. Exercising a generator plus recycling the gasoline every year will keep you prepared for your next power outage and there will be a next power outage.

(More customer reviews)This mower seems good overall - I didnt realize it had electronic start and it arrived with everything except the keys! I tracked down the manufacturer and they sent me new ones in a week or so. And the pull start works without keys so I was able to mow. It was pretty easy to assemble but it sure weighs a lot. I have never had a power drive mower before so maybe they are all heavy. It doesnt always start on the first few tries but will after 4-5 pulls usually. It cuts very well and the bagger fits on nicely.

Amazon has the photo wrong at the top of this page. The pic shows a FWD powered mower, and this is
NOT a powered mower. Standard old school push mower. Super easy and light to push due to the ball
bearings though. I'll cut to the chase. First or second pull, starts smoothly and every time. Engine
is strong and smooth in everything but the very tallest of grass. My lawn is centipede and cuts very
well. Only leaves the occasional straggler which is exceptable to me. Pretty good on gas too. My old
Bolens took a tank and half to do my 3/4 acre lawn, and the Husky does it with only one. (Bone dry
though when I finish.)
My only issues with this mower is as follows. The foam padding on the handlebars is worthless. After 3 mows,
cracks and falls off. The bagger only works 75% of the time. There is a huge gap where the bottom of the bagger
rests and grass falls and blows out. Be prepared to buy some foam and glue/tape to close the gap. Where the engine is bolted to the frame are also gaps which grass blows out of. I just duck taped mine up and works fine now. If you don't take care of the bagger issue and the gap on the deck, be prepared to be covered in grass. Also, Kohler parts are semi-hard to find. And the spark plug is a Champion 8815 which is also hard to find instead of the standard RCY ones found
everywhere. While none of these are deal breakers for me due to the exceptional cost and reputation of
Husqvarna, just be aware of these shortcomings. If they fix the bagger and engine gaps it would be perfect! I would give Kohler 5 stars for the engine, but I would rate 3.5 to Husky for the deck design. I included some pics above.

(More customer reviews)I bought my Husqvarna 21 inch push mower with the 5.5HP Honda engine in 2003. I mow about 1 acre total of non-irrigated weeds on hilly rough terrain. I beat this mower up year after year and it's never failed to start right up and offer up plenty of power through tall grass. This year (2010) during the first mowing of the season I ran over a small tree stump and bent the crankshaft, even doing the work myself it will probably be too expensive to justify repairing a 7 year old mower but I will definitely replace it with the same thing when I get a new one.
6/11/2010 Follow-up: I was able to find a crankshaft online inexpensively which allowed me to try to do the repair myself. I am happy to report that the mower re-build project was a success and my Honda engine is purring along happily once again, may I get many more seasons of use from this very durable lawn mower.
