I actually have the P13KUE Autofeed Screw System but there is no entry on Amazon for the P13KUE. The P13KUE and the P13KDE are very similar as they both have a 42" extension which can be used for decking and subfloors.
What the P13KUE and the P13KDE have in common is the ability use this fastener to install screws in decking and subfloors in an automated fashion. Simply purchase a magazine of screws, feed them into the fastening system and away you go.
Using this tool to secure plywood underlayment throughout an entire house has been a dream.
I can simply stand up straight and insert screws in the flooring in what seems to be an instant. I inserted 45 screws in one 8' x 4' piece of plywood in approximately two or three minutes. SInce there was no bending or getting down on my knees, both my back and my knees thanked me.
The fastener was easy to assemble and it was easy to load the screws.
I used the PAM Fastening Technology WCYZ8200F Yellow Zinc Coarse Thread Collated 8 x 2-Inch Screws.
I would recommend practicing on junk wood in order to the hang so as not to waste screws, but Iassure you, it will be easy to do so.
If your technique is a little off, you can skip screws, but you can simply refeed the screws in order to minimize waste.
Although you can remove a screw with the PAM Fastening System, I would recommend that you use a regular screwdriver to do so.
The PAMDrive will use Fastener sizes from 1" to 3". The unit is 6 lbs and is easy to handle.
The P13KUE allows me to also use this item as a drywall tool since the extention can be removed in order to shorten it down from 42" to 21". The P13KDE does not have this feature as it's only length is 42" to be used in flooring.
I also plan to use my P13KUE to install drywall screws though I will not report my results.
