I considered the oil-lubed Porter Cable job boss before, my friend has one of those and I used it many times before, but the IR compressor is much quieter and a little bit lighter (makes a difference when loading and unloading from the truck).
On the other hand, the wheels on the PC unit make it better if you need to carry it to some distance (which I normally don't need to do).
Used mine mainly with my nailers (framing, finish and brad) but also with some high speed die grinders and polishers.
While it does a fine job with the nailers it obviously isn't made to generate enough CFM for continous grinding and does need to recover every 30 seconds or so for a few seconds.
Whenever I used it with a grinder it would be running for lengths of time with no complaints at all.
It worked flawlessly until some bastard decided to steal it from my job site, I'm going to buy another one of those without a second thoght.
