(More customer reviews)WARNING I bought two different models of this unit at Home Depot today and both of them were designed for a counter top of less than one inch thick. Our counter top is over two inches. On a call to their 800 number they acknowledged that they have recognized the problem and the new models they are just now manufacturing have the deeper throats. which will fit counter tops of various thicknesses. It is unfortunate that neither in the on line product descriptions or on the exterior of the box was there any mention that the unit would fit only counter tops of less than one inch thick without a jerry rigged extension of some sort which you have to special order from the company..
