The Ridgid K-39AF is simply awesome!!! The drill is very powerful and the autofeed works without problems. It took about 30 seconds to get use to it. This thing has some power!!! You have to be very careful not to let it slip out of our hands.

Milwaukee 2300-20 M-Spector Digital Inspection Camera, AA Battery Powered Review

Milwaukee 2300-20 M-Spector Digital Inspection Camera, AA Battery Powered

The unit itself seems to be well made. The screen is clear and the camera and light function well. I have held a provision model and the rigid model which are both slighlty more expensive and I perfer this one.
It has four lights modes (none, bright, brighter, brightest) and a zoom function. The 3/4 inch head is larger then you might think, but putting both a camera and LED on a unit will lead to that. It also ships in its own case. I got the AA battery model as I knew I wouldn't be using this a lot and even with lithium batterys I don't trust them to work if I put this on a shelf for 3-6 months at a time. This was even 10 years from now this unit should function and I won't be looking to replace a lithium battery pack.
Like any model in this range understanding the proper orientation of what you are looking at will be difficult an the viewing angle will be small and the range may not be great in a long space. This is not a fault of the unit though it is just the constraints on the technology for the price.
Edit: I have had a couple of chances to use this for more then just testing it out, and it performed well. The price on the AA unit has dropped considerably since I first purchased mine and having now seen it down around the $100 mark I think it is a very good deal (ecspecially compared to the lithium powered one). For the price it does work very well. I mean a camera, LCD screen, waterproof, and a light for around a $100 bucks is pretty good. I store the batteries seperately to avoid any issues there and it has been nice to just pop a set in when I want to use it and have it function. I would purchase this unit again. (Attn Milwaukee: Although I don't need to buy another if you were to upgrade this one to let it record photos, put in a slightly higher resolution screen and camera, along with a cree led emitter while keeping it AA powered, and price it around $200-$250 bucks you would get my money again. The gen2 device currently out just isn't quite enough or priced right to get me to upgrade.)

The Milwaukee 2310-21 Cordless M-Spector Digital Inspection Camera lets you get a clear picture of problems in hard-to-reach places. Whether you're working with wiring inside walls, examining the fragile pipes of an old home, or looking for serial numbers on parts in an engine that you don't want to disassemble, this versatile, snake-like inspection camera uses digital imaging technology to display crisp, color images on the screen of a hand-held unit. This means you can assess projects without causing unnecessary damage.
Digital Technology for Useful, High-quality Images When you can assess a project without having to do unnecessary damage, you save yourself time, effort, and money. Unlike some micro-cameras, this digital inspection camera provides accurate, high-quality images, so that you can get an idea of what you're working with quickly. With a 2.4-inch, high-resolution color LCD display, you get plenty of detail. An exclusive, adjustable 2x image zoom feature lets you pick the magnification that most accurately shows what you're looking for.

LED illumination makes it easy to see inside dark pipes and walls, and three stage brightness control combines with digital glare reduction to help you use this lighting to get a usable shot, not just an over-lit, difficult to decipher photo.

Flexible, Easy-to-Use Design The Digital Inspection Camera fits through holes as small as 3/4-inch, so you can use it to look inside pipes, and you can thread it into complicated machines. This is possible because of an innovative design that includes a durable, detachable, three-foot-long water-tight flexible cable and an incredibly small camera head.

An ergonomically designed handle lets you comfortably hold the hand unit in several different ways, a feature that's especially important for professionals who perform lots of pipe or wiring installation projects with the help of an inspection camera. Additionally, up-front power and image control buttons make it easy to operate this camera with one-hand.

Convenient, AA Battery Power Powered by four AA batteries means that you have the convenience of using your choice of rechargeable or disposable power and don't have to worry about tripping over a cord. The digital inspection camera also offers a power saving, auto shut-off feature, which preserves battery life, so you can work longer on a single charge.

What's in the Box 6-voldt digital inspection camera, 3-foot camera cable, and a carrying case.

Craftsman Professional 4 x 24 in. Belt Sander, Variable Speed Review

I purchased this to sand the areas of my hardwood floors that the rented floor sander could not reach (closets and edges) and man is this thing a beast! As soon as you squeeze the trigger, you can feel the power. I'm sure if Tim Allen tried it, you'd hear a loud grunt of approval. Easy to change belts and adjust tracking, which stays adjusted allowing you to do what you need to do, sand. Highly recommended.

the "switchless" switch system does not work. it jams, and i came home to a motor burning out, and the entire basement filled with smoke. we are fortunate that there was not more damage to the house's electrical system, or even worse, that the house did not burn down with this smoking burning engine.
I replaced it with a very nice one from Lowes that had a more traditional switch, a quieter motor, and all is well now!

Ridgid MS1290LZA Saw, 12-Inch Compound Sliding Miter with Laser Review

Ridgid MS1290LZA Saw, 12-Inch Compound Sliding Miter with Laser

I do several jobs from framing to trimming and everything in between. I bought this saw from home depot for $549.00 and got a free Ridgid miter stand a ($179 value). I have used many other brands of saws, Makita is ranked comparible to the ridgid. I would recommend this saw if it is mainly used in a stationary spot where you don't mind getting saw dust everywhere. The thing ways a ton and when on the stand it barely fits through a 32" doorway. The dust bag is useless unless you use a vacuum. Going to rig a switch to my vacuum that turns on when my saw does that way I can do finish work without making a big mess. Other than that it cuts good and straight, degree marks are easy to read, and very comfortable to use.

Shop-Vac 6105010 10-Gallon 2.0-Peak HP 2-Stage Contractor Dury Wet/Dry Vacuum Review

I bought this vac when my old shop vac started spewing dust due to worn out filters and seals. I use this type of vac to clean pet hair, dust, sand and dirt from the hardwood and tile floors in my home. I didn't want to deal with a consumer quality vac that would lose efficiency as it filled with dirt.
1. The tank is stainless steel, but could be dented if you abuse it. I wouldn't drag it down the stairs by the hose. With proper care, it should last a lifetime. The handle and wheels are permanently attached to the unit, so it might be hard to invert the tank for cleaning purposes. The motor, cord, attached filter and top lid completely remove from the tank for cleaning.
2. The cord is plenty long enough for most homes, and the 12 foot hose is fantastic. You can reach ceiling fans without having to carry the vac up the ladder.
3. The wheels are sturdy, and make moving the vac very easy.
4. The motor is reasonably quiet (at least compared to my Sears unit), and sufficiently powerful to vacuum sand from the floor, through the 12 foot hose, and into the tank. Although the HP rating seems small, the motor is a two stage unit which much more efficient than the single stage units seen on cheaper vacs. Even after three days of cleaning a very dusty house, garage, and automobile (without emptying the dust bag), there was sufficient suction for efficient cleaning. I ran the unit from 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM for three days, and didn't notice any heat problems or strange noises indicating that I was overtaxing the motor.
5. This unit comes with a paper filter, and I added vacuuum bags to eliminate any possible release of dust from the unit. The vac bags are a great idea. They protect the paper filter, keep the inside of the vac clean, and make for very easy cleanup. On the down side, they do prevent you from easily retrieving property that accidentally gets sucked into the vac.
6. The tools are pretty rugged, but not typical of the $400 industrial vacs that I've seen. This is probably a good thing since such tools are very heavy, bulky and hard to handle. The supplied tools will probably last for years.
Shop Vac's customer service was great (I called them with a number of questions), and they were nice enough to tell me that parts could be purchased at Wal-Mart (instead of having to order them from Shop Vac directly).
If you're going to be vacuuming an office, a small shop or a home, this vac will last a lifetime. I'm very happy with the purchase.

Ridgid R4120 Saw, 12-Inch Compound Miter with Laser Review

Average Reviews:

I've had this saw for about six years and can't really complain. It's a pretty good saw for the price. It's not top of the line, but neither is the price. I have had no problems in the time I have owned it. I replaced the blade with a 12" Freud Diablo and it cuts great. Smooth cuts every time. The dust collection is just OK. Even with a shop vac hooked up there will still be some saw dust that doesn't go in the collection port. The laser works great. Just remember that the laser will be 1/16" to the left of where the cut will be. That's because the laser is mounted on the sawblade/arbor. It uses some small batteries and only turns on when the saw is running because the switch works by centripetal force. With light use, the laser's batteries lasted about 4 or 5 years. They were easy to change. The miter action works fine. I wouldn't call it smooth (like some of the higher-end saws, like the Bosch) but it's not rough either. There are stops at 45 and 33.something for crown molding. The bevel action is OK also. The scale for the bevel adjustment is hard to get absolutely perfect, so for precision work use an angle finder of one sort or another. There are no stops on the bevel adjustment.
My saw (which was bought at the orange big-box store) came with a powder-coated stamped steel stand. Very basic but functional. The one gripe that I do have about this saw is that the bolt holes in the saw base do not line up exactly with the holes in the stand. I don't think I've ever used the detachable vise. The cutting capacity is pretty good. It will easily cut a 4"x4".
All in all, I think it is a good middle of the road saw. It's not a seven hundred dollar Bosch, but is alot better than a 99 dollar Ryobi. I've been happy with it. I may eventually upgrade to a saw with more features, but this one has done me well for a while....

Ridgid RV2600B 16-Gallon 2-Stage Industrial Vacuum Review

Ridgid RV2600B 16-Gallon 2-Stage Industrial Vacuum
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I was very disappointed with this shop vac. I always have several shop vacs in my shop and a couple on the job site. A year ago I purchased a Ridgid vac at Home Depot for $99. The top detaches and becomes a very good blower. This $99 vac has the most suction I have ever had with previous vacs, ShopVac, Craftsman, and others. No matter how much I paid for the other vacs the cheap Ridgid is the best one by far. The only other one that came close was a 25 year-old 2.5 hp Craftsman. (still in use) One of the vacs I use in my shop for dust collection recently died so I went shopping on amazon. I found this Ridgid 2-stage 11.5 amp industrial vac. I figured this one had to be good, reading the product description and the price. When it arrived by amazon's two-day prime shipping, (in two days) I was initially disappointed as it has a 1 7/8 inch hose. I'm sure I missed that in the product description, my bad. This size doesn't fit any tool dust collection hookups without buying an additonal hose. I took the vac out into my shop and put it to work. Are you kidding me? The tool hose on my wife's old Hoover upright has more suction. I tried to suck up some small brads along with dust off my work table. I had to take the brush off the end and place the hose directly over the nail to pick it up. My other vacs would grab it from 4-5" away. If you want to buy a good vac, look for the Ridgid that has the detachable blower. One third the price and 10 times the suction. Sorry Ridgid, but this vac works good for cleaning out a car, but it has no place in a work shop or on a job site.

Milwaukee 2311-21 Digital Inspection Camera, 12V (GEN 2) Review

Milwaukee 2311-21 Digital Inspection Camera, 12V (GEN 2)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I purchased this unit from a local dealer for $399. plus tax. Instructions say to charge the lithium-Ion battery before use. Upon attempting to charge it I found red & green lights flashing. This indicates a defective battery the booklet indicated. I did try it on the camera and it indicated almost a full charge, enough to try the unit somewhat. I noticed that the "lens" at the end of the camera was very poorly molded having uneven surfaces and what looked to be polished out scratches. That was of concern. This camera was brand new in the sealed carton. I returned it and purchased another one. SAME PROBLEM! I could not believe it. The red charge light DID come on for 20 minutes and I assumed it was going to be OK. I was wrong. After a hour I checked back and it was flashing battery error. Second problem. The manufacturer uses black foam behind the lens to separate the led illumination from the camera lens. It was very sloppy. The led was partially blocked due to the black foam in front of perhaps 25% of the led. The lens on the second unit did not have the scratches that the first one did. Milwaukee would not send out ANY item to make it right but indicated that I could return it or send it to an authorized repair center at my expense. This second one is also going to be returned for a refund. On the OTHER side of the fence are the GOOD things about the camera. The screen is awesome! Nice and bright and clear. Controls are easy to learn and operate. The 3 foot cable has just the right amount of stiffness. The carry case is plenty big. I played with it for over an hour and the battery life indicator did not drop at all indicating that it is probably very good on battery life. I hope they get these problems fixed. I'd love to have a 100% working unit. At $400.00 it should be near perfect. I do have extreme close up photos of the camera led with the black foam on it but don't know how to post the photos.
